Requirements to become a security guard are:

• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Must be over 18 years old.
• Must have Alberta Solicitor General Security License.
• Must be fluent in English
• Have no criminal record, outstanding criminal charges and not be the subject of
  a criminal investigation.
• Not be a current member of the police service, a sheriff, bailiff, a collection
  agency or debt collector.
• Complete the training and exam requirements
• Must be physically fit
• Must have standard first aid certificate
